Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Christmas is coming but we have one more event before leaving for the holidays. Today we’re hosting a Christmas special where we serve glögg, lussebullar and discuss browser security.
We are extremely happy to have met all you wonderful members. We started 0xFF in February this year and have organized 12 events so far if we count the celebratory event tomorrow. There are close to 500 members registrered which is more than we could have hoped for. Thank you!
If you don’t have the chance to come and celebrate with us tonight I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Tonight I will start with a presentation on practical end user countermeasures to common web threats such as XSS and CSRF. All in all I hope you will leave the night with a few useful tips to stay more secure in 2020.
As always we have a pre- and post mingle where you get to meet and hang out with other security professionals over complimentary beer and snacks.

October events
Did you think side-channel attacks just was something theoretical? Think again. On the 24th of October we have a talk on Side-channel attacks on embedded systems where we discuss the theory but also put it to practice. During the evening you’ll get the chance to try out a number of attacks yourself.

Summer break
Our work from the last hackathon has been forwarded to the Exodus Privacy team and they thanked us for our efforts and would love for people to contribute. They told us they are working on a revamped version of their UI as we speak. More info on how to contribute on Exodus Privacy.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for interesting and inspiring discussions at our events this spring. We hope to see you at our fall events starting on the 22nd of August. Our summer vacations have already begun and I (Magnus) am writing this from my van, vanlifing around Poland.
We’ve received a message from our sponsor, ACNR Cyber technology, who makes it possible to hold our events free of charge. We don’t know what to make out of the message but perhaps you do?
