Security applications of language technology

Security applications of language technology

In this talk we discuss applications of language technology in the security sector. We cover applications such as text categorization and topic detection, author identification and profiling, detection and monitoring of influence operations, as well as automatic language generation. We discuss both the actual algorithms used, as well as concrete examples of analysis in real applications.

Speaker

His research is situated at the intersection between natural language processing, AI, and machine learning, and focuses on questions about how computers can learn and understand languages in the same way as humans do. Sahlgren has previously worked at FOI (Swedish Defense Research Agency), and founded the language technology company Gavagai AB.
