Canceled: DIY data diode

Canceled: DIY data diode

This event is canceled. Unfortunately we had to cancel this event due to poor planning on our end. Sorry

Data diodes are expensive network devices used in high security environments where a normal firewall just isn’t trustworthy enough. Why are they so expensive and how difficult is it to build one yourself?

In this talk Magnus will show you how to build your own gigabit data diode for less than 1000 SEK with simple hardware modifications of off-the-shelf products. The talk covers a general methodology for hardware modification and dwells into the challenges of writing software for uni-directional networks.

This talk was presented at the SEC-T conference earlier this year. If you’ve already seen the talk, feel free to just drop in for the post event mingle.

Magnus has spent the last 25 years building software for the Internet and has a strong interest in privacy, security and all things connected. He is a true full-stack dev coding everything from kernel to frontend and loves hacking and modding software and hardware. Magnus is the co-founder of 0xFF and has his own business Klockcykel.
